Students are worried about the state of post-secondary education and the future of Newfoundland and Labrador. To ensure students live and thrive in the province we call on the Government to:
Reinstate the full needs-based grants program
Increase funding to the College of the North Atlantic and Memorial University of Newfoundland
Progressively reduce fees to the point of elimination
Newfoundland and Labrador has prided itself on being the most accessible province for post-secondary education that welcomes all students, no matter where they were born. Our post-secondary institutions have been the foundation to our success as a province, yet increasingly this foundation is crumbling with regressive funding cuts.
